My Future Life Gerardo
My life has changed so much in the last 15 years. I now have my own car, a blue Mazda. I went to college and now I have a job as a pharmacist at Target. Also, I have my own house close to my old apartment with many rooms and a backyard. In my backyard, there’s a basketball court where I play after work.
I learned a lot at school, but three things I learned at Gurrie really helped me in my life. First, I learned how to be on time. Being on time makes me a dependable person. It has become one of my best qualities at Target. The second important thing I learned was to be prepared by bringing materials to class. I use the skill of being prepared when I have to go to a meeting as a pharmacist. The third lesson I learned was to try and stay focused. This is important because in order to be a pharmacist you have to pay attention to what you’re doing.
The world has changed so much too! Technology is so different now; including everyone has a phone that shows a video of the other person talking. Now I can read the other person’s expressions while I’m on the phone. Also, there are flying cars. Flying cars make traffic better and makes traveling easier.
I was recently invited to a Gurrie Middle School reunion and I’m excited to attend because everyone will be there. All the people who went to Gurrie will be wearing different clothes. Over the past 15 years, style has changed. Later, everyone will talk about when we were at Gurrie and we first met. We will talk about when we went to see A Christmas Carol, and the Career Fair.
In the past 15 years, I have changed because I have a job, car and house. The things I learned at Gurrie have really helped me succeed. With all of the advances in technology, my life is more fun. I can not wait for everyone who was at Gurrie to be at the reunion.
